My name is Archie Hammond, and I founded Hammond Tailoring to bring high-quality, bespoke menswear to Northumberland and beyond. After graduating from university and winning the Menswear category at the prestigious Global Graduate Design Awards, I made a conscious decision not to follow the well-trodden path to a big city. Instead, I bought a house on the edge of the Cheviot Hills, and began embracing the rural lifestyle and the inspiration it offers from Northumberland’s heritage, landscapes, and community.

Originally from Tynemouth, I am proud to call Northumberland my home, where I’ve spent years building my expertise in made-to-measure tailoring. I create bespoke suits, shirts, and countrywear that reflect timeless style and exceptional craftsmanship. My passion for the sartorial runs deep, shaped by a lifelong interest in classic menswear and my professional experience working with a range of designers—from contemporary menswear to heritage-inspired pieces and militaria.

Outside of tailoring, I am a keen shooter and deer stalker, pursuits that have deepened my appreciation for garments that combine elegance, functionality, and durability. I also love to explore Northumberland’s wild coastlines, finding inspiration in the rugged beauty of this land. These passions inform my work, blending modern techniques with traditional tailoring to create menswear that is as practical as it is refined.
